![]() They have a Spar on site which can be expensive. We stayed there for one night last year before travelling down to Fishguard and decided this year we would stay at Quay West. The Cambrian B&B opposite the site serve evening meals. There were quite a few people down there walking their dogs. The caravan park also has it's own woodland walk which leads down to the beach. We sat on the harbour wall but didn't see any dolphins. ![]() We went down into New Quay which is only about a 5 minute drive from the park but is also within walking distance. Some cafes and an RNLI so didn't stay long. We walked along the beach although we found that there wasn't a lot there. The following day we visited Borth also an hours drive. It worked out cheaper than drinking/eating on site. We stopped off in Aberystwyth on the way back as they have a Wetherspoons which was handy. It certainly kept us fit climbing those steps! They have a pub, tea rooms and a gift shop. ![]() The steps are quite steep and wouldn't be suitable for pushchairs or disabled. We visited Devils Bridge Falls during our stay which is about an hours drive from the park. I'm glad I didn't pay the extra money to upgrade!! The caravan was an 8 berth with 1 double, 2 twin rooms and a sofa bed in the lounge with lovely sea views over Cardigan Bay. When we arrived to check in my husband collected the keys and said we have been upgraded to a Prestigne model, we were in Monmouth 38 the flat area of the park and only a 5 minute walk to the entertainment complex. To upgrade to a Deluxe Plus with blow heaters in the bedrooms would cost an extra £75 and to upgrade to a Prestigne caravan with double glazing and central heating was an extra £122 so I left the booking as it was and packed the electric heater in case we needed it. When I contacted the park they said I would be allocated a Deluxe model which meant just a gas fire in the lounge. I paid £124.70 for a luxury plus caravan. My husband and I visited Haven Quay West Monday 12th til Friday 16th October through the Sun £9.50 holidays.
